Two words.  Two simple words. Two words, that when put together, become so powerful in so many ways.  Just.  Breathe.  Just breathe.  What a wonderful reminder.  Many mornings, while sitting with my ginormous cup of coffee,


(and perhaps a ‘lil piece of chocolate),  I find myself repeating “just breathe”.  Sometimes over and over and over until I am back on a more even keel. Until my heart rate has mellowed, and I feel ready to face the day.  There is something very comforting about those words.  I don’t know if that makes sense, but for me they serve as a reminder to slow down, take care of myself, and to be grateful for the present.  These words also remind me of one of my most favorite quotes by Omar Khayyam.  “Be happy for this moment.  This moment is your life.” So powerful.  So simple. So true.

Keeping it short and sweet today so please, please remember to breathe.  If you find yourself starting to get anxious…breathe.  If the day is starting to swallow you up….breathe. If you can’t seem to catch a break…breathe.  Just breathe.
